Hi folks, I have this radio and for over a year now, but failed to write down or ask the seller how to bring up the groups of bands and to switch through them. I've tried contacting the seller and so far no response! The users manual is no help whatsoever. I find NOTHING on the internet sadly. I know this radio can get them as the original pics from the seller shows it. Oh I've tried alot of button combinations but so far no luck...

Somebody out there surely has this radio and has the knowledge on how to get bands A-G I believe it is... Including triple "5" or 27.5550 !

Hoping somebody can help me out soon this is frustrating as it's a nice radio I got it nearly brand new.

I believe its exactly the same as the mod for the ae5890eu

http://service.alan-electronics.de/Amat ... onversion/

It might be the same setup for the mod but that doesn't help me to know what buttons to push to obtain the bands while operating the radio Road. Thanks for the reply though, and hopefully the seller will get back to me relatively soon I sure hope as this is a bit annoying and frustrating to NOT be in the know what to do...

Thanks all the best 73's, Retro

did you read this part?

To extend for radio amateurs users, you only have to put a temporary jumper at positions 1&2 , only for the time of selection:
Then the selection opens •
0 = 10 and 12 m Band •
1 = 10 m Band •
2 = 12 m Band •
3 = 450 CH international •
4 = 450 CH with Poland offset • + all legal codes •

after selecting the desired codes jumper shall be removed again and unit makes exactly the desired Code, this works until user makes a reset.

Yeah I been pondering that actually. Sounds rather simple in fact. I don't have any jumpers really, so I figure an allgator clip wire would suffice to do the trick for a temporary thing. Maybe that person who sold me the radio did a reset before shipping it. Strange but he still hasn't answered but it's been over a year...

I'll try to update my results after trying that, Retro

well Road, did try that mod and it didn't work strangely !

I'm baffled now and kinda perplexed... My tech told me mine must be using a different firmware. Could be I guess, wondering how the serial numbers come into play here, how many different versions was there of this radio or firmware ?

Well nevermind the serial number and the last post. As it turns out, my local tech must have been tired or like me a bit impatient. I retried the mod trick when home and got results and can not get bands switches through on front of radio while operating it. Go figure !!! Guess he didn't have the jumper locked in right or something. At any rate, now finally got all bands and am content and yes including triple 5 !
