I wasn't doing much today, so I thought I would update the old map.
All the "flags" are for just one DXCC (divisions), except for Russia, in which I have several going across from Asiatic to European. Also just couple extra in the French Polynesia area.

All 218 are 11 meter band and 217 of those have been made using a good old "export" mobile radio* doing 90 watts! Oh, one more thing...absolelutly no amp was ever used!
*Them darn radios sure suck don't they!

Congratulations Larry! I'm sure if there was one, The "CB Radio 11m world Authority", would award you this;

BTW, in was a welcome relief to make contact with you and others today from the Pacific Northwest to my location here in central Alberta. Checking my log book and it was almost a year since our last contact. It always seems when I am in the darkest moments of dismay with 11m propagation, an hour or two of a window opens up to bring back up the spirits. I have a map as well but it is just a "Junior" edition of yours as I have not been able to add to it for a couple of years.

Thanks Robbin.
I have to admit that there are others on the east coast that have many more contacts on the 11 band than myself. A good friend of mine from NY has only 32 DXCC's to go and he runs just a 100 watt HF rig with a 6 element yagi (no amp either).
But, it was my goal back when I started in radio's (1972), that I wanted to work all the countries in the world just using a mobile radio and no amphilier on 11 meters.

sorry charlie. unless you were running 4 watts you were running an illegal amplifier. just because it's inside the radio doesn't mean you weren't amplifying the signal beyond an allowable limit.

Impressive amount of contacts!! I am assuming you are outside of the regular 40?
Thanks.
I have been operating outside the 40 ch. since 1975, but it doesn't really matter. For a radio contact is a radio contact, where it is at on the 11 meter band doesn't matter to me.

Give it up space cowboy. YES I EDITED YOUR POST. Larry never has an ego about the places he has worked and has never hidden the fact he uses almost 100 watts to make those contacts. The ONLY person with an issue about that is YOU.

Edited by Captain Kilowatt because he has had enough BS tonight.

You are correct but I would be more impressed if you did all that between 26.965 and 27.405 and with 12 watts pep. Don't get me wrong though it's still impressive just needs an * next to it.

Hams use 100 watts all the time and claim no amplifier and nobody bitches. The fact it is on 11m freeband should not require anybody to run strictly legal power on an otherwise illegal frequency and actually Larry is correct.......he runs NO amplifier. Anybody can see what he does run and see that he runs almost 100 watts. He has NEVER denied that and has stated that outright. I wish I had that many fine contacts to tell you the truth.

I wasn't complaining at all, I am impressed with the amount of contacts he as, many as you wish I had myself, my hat is off to him. The difference is we run 100 and he runs 100 watts one is with in the rules the other is not. A contact is a contact but sometimes you have to play within the context of the rules given or concede that you are playing with your fingers crossed behind your back.
