If it were a 1978 car you would wonder how many belts, hoses, gaskets, seals and such parts were original.
After that many years, none of them should be. Not if you want to drive it farther than around the block.
If the last four decades of maintenance has been done to this one, it should be okay.
And if it has any original electrolytic capacitors in it, they will fail before you get too far down the road.
The original relays might still be good.
Might.
This model requires insanely little drive power. Good chance that most any radio made since 1978 will overdrive it.
Abe Brewer, the designer of this model was selling hot rods. Takes a really light touch on the throttle to use it as a daily driver.
