Does anyone have a wiring diagram or pics of where the wire goes from the dimmer switch to the channel selector board?

Got one here that the wire was removed, locking it to 10m and only one band.

I’ve looked but my google skillz ain’t so great lately.

Anyone? Anybody here with a NS-4000 that cares to pop the top and maybe post some pics or tell me where the missing wire goes?

I reread your question and since the 33 has no dimmer maybe it would be best to look at a 44. Just so happen I've got one on the bench I'll look at tomorrow. Fixing to start a dual mosfet conversion so it's all opened up already.

Does this one have the funky North Star computerized channel selector/display? Seems to me it used a Zilog Z8671 chip.

If so, the conversion involves a jumper on the selector board, pretty sure.

It does have the funky channel selector and the issue is the wire is missing. There’s supposed to be a yellow wire you solder back together but the problem is it’s completely gone.

Not in the dimmer. Not on the channel selector. You can technically put it wherever you’d want on the dimmer but where it goes on that channel selector board is a mystery to me. There’s no pics on Google that I’ve been able to find and certainly no service manual or anything else...

Eldorado I appreciate that but it has to be a Northstar on this issue, nothing else that I know of used this funky mess.
