Australia: Need: President Grant, Cobra, Pearce Simpson, MIdland, Galaxy, whatever??. I would like a working unit with reasonable output 10-20 watts. Everyone here in Australia is using UHF, no long distance! I used to CQDX in the 80s (Skyhawk 22) (Realistic with 1/2 wave Dipole). Now hoping to get back on the air with a real CB. I can use Pay Pal for payment and will cover cost for shipping. Please reply if you have something to part with and photo of unit on thanks.

Where in Oz are you? There are a few locals here selling grants and cybernets and similar, and a few more on oz ebay too. Try searching for "ssb" on ebay.

We are at kalgoorlie boulder in wa. If you are near there can ask whats around.

Loz!

Adding to that, will be in the north shore area of sydney in a couple of weeks, start of december ish, if you are there can let you know whats around and roughly how much.

I wish I could be there....
I am in the state of Wa. Here in the states that is our abbreviation for the state of Washington. Washington is in the N.W. part of the USA "the northwest corner".
I am on the peninsula, the Long Beach peninsula, down in the S.W. corner on the state of Washington.
I have dealt with the boys at Yeticomnz.com and have never had a bad deal.
I have two of the Optima Mk3's, and love them. I run an Optima Mk3 in my car with a 6 "pill" amp, and a 102 s.s.whip antenna, and a Sirio 5000 antenna, and all works very well. I am using the Sirio 5000 antenna now as it is a little shorter and it is easier to tune.
Yeti com nz is a member here as well.
Good Luck in your hunt.

hope to hear you guys from down under soon....it's been like 5 months since I spoke to anyone down under.

I think tonynemo has Uniden fever. Can't blame him for that; can you? He wants a real classic CB radio. He can get all of the exports he wants - I'll bet. But what he is looking for is something perhaps a bit more tasty. Is that so, Tony?

You must have sensed my vintage: Yes would like to get a classic. UNiden, Old Grants just looked great. So yes, thank you for the suggestions. Please do ask if anyone has a working 40 Channel, lights and bells, and pass on my email. I will pay for postage. Looks like I could take a generous offer from a couple of members in the states but as they point out, shipping may be a nightmare. My email is tonynemo88@gmail.com

Thanks

And are you a DXer?
Want a SSB radio?

Hey Tony, I'm in Sydney. eBay has a few old school radios pop up, they seem to go for serious $$$. Dunno where these buyers are using them but 11m is pretty dead most of the time. I'd love it to pick up, but the good ole days of the late 70's to mid 80's are a fond memory. Let me know where you intend to hang out and I'll keep an ear out.

Hi, Im in Cairns. Not much around here

That's about a 5 day drive from here, so won't be calling in there :D

Plenty on the Oz ebay site though.

Basic but working 40 channel ssb pearce simpson

Magnum radio working, over 50 watts out

Kenwood ham radio 100 watt working, looks like it covers 27 megs

If you are on more of a budget:

Sharp 40 channel ssb, ok but no power house

Realistic (uniden) 40 channel ssb.
Will need recapping if you can get to a jaycar and are handy with a solder iron.

BIG THANK YOU. You have gone to a lot of trouble to help me out. I have contacted a seller on one of the links you supplied. Looks like i'm in business. Good Kharma to you for your time.
