I'm looking for a place that still makes for cb and ham radios.
looking for the below frequencies.
Would anyone know of a place to get these frequencies maybe 25 of each

14.460 MHz gives 26.065 to 26.505 MHz (LOW
-
LOW band)
14.910 MHz gives 26.515 to 26.955 MHz (LOW band)
15.360 MHz gives 26.965 to 27.405 MHz (FCC band)
15.810 MHz gives 27.415 to 27.855 MHz (HIGH band)
16.260 MHz gives 27.865 to 28.305 MHz (HIGH +10M CW)
16.455 MHz gives 28.060 to 28.500 MHz (10M Novice band)

Looking to convert some cb radios and I have tried the following companies no luck seems no-one out there make the xtals any more

There was one I needed for a 2040, can’t remember where I inquired about it but they weren’t cheap to cut just one. And Tech is right, waiting time is long too. I’ll try to find who it was, maybe that’ll help.

Thank you all for you help and info. I'm trying to buy in quantities of 25 so i think it will be 150 xtals. I will try bomar and the other if you all posted.
Thanks dss56

Here is what im trying to do.
Since CB has picked up in the past year or so, I would like to bring back the xtal oscillator boards to add extra channels to basically the Cobra and Uniden Am radios and other cb radios that share the same pc board and xtal layout. I have a company that makes pc boards and I have designed a 4 xtal oscillator board. Also a 6 xtal switch to switch in/out xtals for xtra channels also to mod the radio to a 10 meter rig.
It all depends on locating the xtals for the uppers and lower channels.

Any thoughts on doing this and do you think cb owners will be interested in modding their radios for extra channels. Right now no one makes a kit to do this, the Expo 100 kits are no longer made and I have searched to seek out any kits made to do this.

I know Les C makes maybe something but not sure might be discontinued.

All this will be for the cobra/uniden radios that the pll cant be modded and a xtal oscillator board to inject the signal frequency like the expo 100 kits.

Just need some opinions positive or negative welcomed.

I have worked on radios for over 40 years and work for the Government building ballistic missiles and payloads for satellites. And also was involved in their launch from Florida to Hawaii.
Just to give you a little of my background in electronics.

Thanks for your time.

i was going to mention Bomar, but looks like it's already in here.

as for the xtal oscillator boards, they never really worked that well because you could not align them on freq on all channels in all modes.

sometimes you got lucky and they all lined up and sometimes you had issues.

also the price of crystals is probably going to put too high a price point on the kits.

---------------------------------
The highest price crystal in that list is $.79 lot 1.
But shipping is $7.99 either UPS or USPS.
So, at lot 10 each, cheapest I found total for
QOH = Quantity On Hand
127 - 16.257 - $.55 ea/@10pcs $5.50 (needs trim capped to 16.260)
946 - 15.810 - $.79 ea/@10pcs $7.90
224 - 15.360 - $.30 ea/@10pcs $3.00
979 - 14.910 - $.79 ea/@10pcs $7.90
982 - 14.4556 - $.79 ea/@10pcs $7.90 (needs trim capped to 14.460 if possible)
845 - 13.560 - $.325 ea/@10pcs $3.25
$7.99 s/h through UPS or USPS
was $43.44 including s/h from Mouser.

I have a similar idea, that could very well crack the "impossible to crack" PLLs, that basically involves leaving the PLL and VCO alone (but locked into RX mode). I have a few of these radios on hand that I am going to try my idea on, Pro510XL, AX44, PC122XL, etc...

I don't know why anybody would bother with crystal oscillator expansion boards, there are a multitude of DDS options available for low cost and greater flexibility.
