That is called a UHF mount not an SO-239 just FYI. It's a common mount in Amateur Radio antennas along with the NMO mount which is considered the best of the two.

In his defense, sirio does call it an "SO239 ANGULAR CONNECTOR". Must be a literal Italian translation?

In case he is searching other brands he would need the correct name so now he's on the right page anyway. Maybe the folks at Siro don't know the correct name so they made it up since it is an SO-239 connector. LOL {:>)

Thanks for your help. I started dabbling in the radio world a few years ago so I have a lot to learn. I had never heard of SO-239 mount but did a little research on Sirio's sight and that is what they called it so I tried the same name. Thanks for straightening me out. (y)

I have heard good things about his mounts but have never had one. I have been thinking about putting a plate or I know some guys use a saw blade on the bottom side to disperse the torque of the antenna

As with any puck mount supporting the underside of the roof is a must. There is a lot of wind load causing the roofs sheet metal to flex.

I'm using this mount with LMR400uf. It only cost 5 bucks.
