HR 2510

It was pass code something to do with the serial number on the chip switch.
Trying to get it to work down low caused problems for some radios.

I was doing some looking around on this subject and my guess would be is that you had a very early chipswitch. From what I could find those had the spur issues on 12 meters where the newer ones they had corrected that.
Also from what I found only the early versions had the possibility of going down to 15 meters, but he wasn't able to eliminate the spurs down there so he just ended up locking that functionality out of the chip all together.
This is stuff that I had no clue about and as such I apologize if I came off sounding like a complete ass. :D:D
