When the radio you want finally comes up on ebay but you don't have the cash

Not your every day radio, so price isn't necessarily out of line, I would not pay it, but I'm not big into those. I think a lot of old / vintage stuff isn't worth what it fetches, but is what it is.

Ebay will side with the buyer if the seller tries to rip anybody off, so even with zero feedback, not really a big deal.

I think I still have a set of those wattmeters around here somewhere, but they are in bad shape / need major work, one of many projects I seem to never get to.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. No, you don't want it. Been there done that and didn't even have a dime in it. I'll not bore you with the details. he end result was it costing me money and time to repair, three times. Never , ever again.

YMMV

A collector will pull the plug on that one like Dave 457 sais.
I used to run a CPI Talk Power TP 1 speech compressor on a President Zakery T base station.
It really did add punch to the Audio.
I let it go with the base when I sold it.
Many times I have wish I had kept it.

The only guy I know with one of those radios is a stoner. It doesn't work and the local cb shop won't touch it.

I have seen guys spend crazy money on crappy radios just because they had to have it.
A few years ago I watched a RCI 2900 On flea bay go for over $400 used.
One of the worst POS radios ever built.
Then there is the guy on e bay that sells Cobra 2000 radios for 10 times what they cost new.
What was his name? Silverhawk?
