I want an old ham radio for starter radio. I like old stuff. What band or bands are good to start. I was looking at a heathkit hw101 it looked nice and in the price range I can afford. Probably why i like old stuff its cheaper

Tweety,
I have never played with the 101, but have played with a TS-520 in my early radio days. I have seen both for sale relatively cheap over the years.
