11 meter is very quiet?

I think I just talked to someone in 3 division. It was hard to understand what he was saying but I was making the trip.
Wow! The last time I had one was in 1975.I went out to the garage and powered up my beat up 139xlr to see if the antenna it's hooked up to could here any DX...Sadly no...On the bright side, I thought I'd straighten up a particular messy corner and uncovered my old Astro Plane!! It needs to be cleaned up, and this cool weather is just right to be outside

I gave up at my QTH and drove out, away from all the electrical noise that seems to pester me. I finally heard some weak DX but couldn't get out to anyone. Better luck tomorrow when I drive to Katy.

You probably heard 3AT137 (Vanderlei)...very active last night. Put an S7 on me here.
Yes I believe its the same guy. I was trying to write his number down while trying to think of the types of things he would be telling me but I think most of what he was saying was not english. haha The conditions were spotty and I don't know how to QSL and then the conditions dropped out. I need to listen to more international QSOs to get a better fell of how the exchange goes. I am going to print out the DX map and am looking forward to better conditions.

Only other American stations I saw on there was 2600, 279 and 041, again nice work.
I was stumped the first time someone asked for my “working conditions”..
After the first few it becomes rather straightforward...signal report, operator name, equipment, city, weather.
That Superman and Double Trouble on Ch. 6 AM have LOUD radios and you can't get a word in edgewise but Double A managed to hear me and we had a short conversation. I guess it is time for me to buy a notebook and start recording the names of my DX conversations.
