Machine shops (for engine parts) are like that in my area. They aren't in the nicest parts of town, no one wears glasses and no smoking ordinances don't apply to them.
They seem to be mass producing a lot of metal cases- more than enough to supply the CB users. I wonder if all of those are for comp amps, or are there other uses for those cases outside of the CB world??
I wonder how many cabinets they are producing a day? 10? 100? 1,000? I didn't realize the demand was that great.
At least the shop above seems to keep the floor clean!
Does anyone care to opine if all of the cabinets are going towards amplifiers and power supplies or are there other uses???
No kidding. The shops I was thinking of have grease on the floor from the 70s.
I don't think there is enough demand for them to be pumping out cabinets every day. My quess would be that they build them as needed to maintain inventory and have other customers to fill the in between time. Just a wild guess.
