I sent Mike an antique for restoration 5 weeks ago and have not heard from him since after he sent me a invoice explaining to what was wrong with the radio and I immediately paid it and told him to go ahead..
Getting very concerned.

You sir sound like a troll.
Troll?
I sent him a vintage dak X for restoration 4 days later he accepted the radio, then sent me an invoice for repair and I paid him what he asked for since then I haven't heard from him in a month.
I have local operators in my town that have dealt with Mike in the past and recommended him that's why I sent my dak X to him
Now I read all these negative comments about Mike and I really don't know what to do about it.

(Listen dude if you got nothing good to say you should really keep your mouth shut)

Maybe because this topic is an ongoing issue and there is a long thread already in existence about it. Or could be because thus far you’ve made just three post since joining and all three about this.

welcome to the forum (y)

I simply posted this because the other thread that I read almost 3 years long was closed and I could not get into it so I started it again.
I'm simply looking for anyone who's had contact with Mike in the last month.
I'm quite sure that you can understand the personal attachment to a piece of gear and you hate to see it go missing.
I sat on this piece for almost a year until I was urged to send it to Mike because like I said earlier guys from my old town have dealt with him in the past and recommended him.
Now here I am out a great deal of money, and the sentimental piece of gear.

If you want to stop the troll talk maybe post a screenshot of the invoice and that you paid. Then the troll trollers might cut you some slack. Sad that this happens. Good luck .

You're not the only who can't get in touch with him. I think you're screwed. You could try to get your money back through paypal but since it was friends and family they probably won't help. The radio is gone.

I really have a hard time believing with his reputation and quality of work that he would start doing this, I mean I did have contact with them through email just over a month ago.
I guess I'm in the same boat as everybody else.... time will tell.

I hope it works out for you but the history of this business makes me think the worst. This isn't the first time a well respected cb tech or amp builder took people's money and ran.
