I'm stuck on SSB also but I thought the radio was pretty cheap for having FM. But like most times you get what you pay for but not always !

It's just a name of the model.
Very compact am/fm.
If you scroll through that ad you see several radios with different names.
Don't know who is building them but out of several brands they all seem to have the same display.

There is another one that looks much like the Midland with the removable face plate.
