Really trying to get a grasp on this. My McKinley right out of the box hooked up to antron99 goes up to 5 on the delta PSM1000W on AM when I key the mic. Looks way higher than anyone else's I see on videos I watch. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Is that after adjusting the tuning rings?
What type coax and length? Connectors properly installed?

A little more detail would probably bring more responses.

According to internal and external swr meter, no tuning was required 1.1 on channel 1 and 1.2 on channel 40. 30 ft run of rg213 coax. Everything grounded.

Measure on dummy load with meter you are sure is accurate.
Measuring on antenna always show not correct reading.
