FRANCIS AMAZER SCAMMERS

I was contacted via PM by a guy who said his friend had an NOS Francis CB50 (grey) Amazer for sale. I contacted the friend and we made a deal. However ... before sending any $$$, I asked him to send me a picture of the antenna. That was the last I heard from him. I can only assume it was a scam. The guy who sent me the PM is named James Anthony. The sellers name is Charles Buffett. Should anyone get a PM from these guys wanting to sell an antenna or whatever... be wary !!

Appreciate the heads up. Yeah I’ve learned to always ask for pictures. And not just pictures of the item by itself. I usually have them place a penny or something else common by it. Just so I know they didn’t just get a picture from the internet. I hate all the scams these days. I get a call from my mother at least a couple times a week asking about messages, emails or calls she gets from scammers. I know people of all ages fall victim to these scams but the majority of them are elderly. A lot of them are on fixed incomes so it really hurts them to lose money to a scam. I hope there is a special place in hell for scammers.

I have banned James Anthony.
He has pm'ed multiple users with items for sale.
If anyone gets a pm involving sales that don't smell right let the Admins know.

Can't imagine how many have gotten scammed by these guys already. Will they change their names for more scams now that their cover is blown? Can't trust anyone these days ........

We had to disconnect my mother in laws land line phone. The phone would ring, and of course she would have to answer it. Next thing you know, she is rattling off her social security number. So then we hang the phone up on her, and war ensues. So now, the phone doesn't ring anymore.
