Galaxy dx2547 Base channel and frequency lights too dim.

Radio is about 10 years old. I think all these radios were dim and Galaxy made a change recently. I’m not sure but the new ones are brighter.

It’s hard to read the channel and frequency. 8.5 volts going to this plug coming from the dimmer knob. Is there a simple mod to brighten up the lights?

LED's are current controlled, so you need to increase the current, not voltage.
I think it is just a dim display, like in old Jackson's or Grant's.

Wow, I’m still in the same boat lol. Either way, probably looking to change the value of a diode, yeah ?
