Anyone know the function of R129 in a Cobra 148? The 148 I have is in good shape but it looks like someone cut R129. 22K resistor 1/8 watt. Just curious if it needs to be left alone cut, or replace it with a new one. thanks.

yeah I saw the schematic and noticed that. Weird there is a red red orange in loc R129 which is a 22K. Someone must have changed it then cut it. Guess I'll put back in a 33K back in there. Wouldn't hurt to try.
sorry the location was R128 22K. Anyhow I just went ahead and replaced it. I have no idea why it was cut in the first place. Thanks for your time.
the reason resistor R128 was cut was to disable the
microphone audio AMC/ALC circuit
so that you can overmodulate.
