What's the go-to 10 meter mobile?

Yeah, it was the 6666. I didn't care much for it. Biggest thing I disliked was the crowded knobs. If I recall, the volume level was touchy.

The 6666 and 6666 Pro, are very different. A great deal of attention, was paid to things that needed improvement. The QT-60 Pro, is also much improved. These are good radios by today's standards.

They'd be even better with CW capability. I've been waiting for a modern all mode 10 meter mobile. They tried with a couple newer rigs, but they had buffering issues that required an external keyer. Maybe one day....

The 6666PRO has CW capability. Not sure how good it is though......
I have also heard that people are having success with digital modes such as JS8CALL and others using that radio.
I'm pretty happy with my 5555N2 and original 6666 so I haven't taken the plunge with the PRO yet myself.

It has the same buffering issues.

The CW function in the QT radios, is not ready for prime time. The T/R turnaround time is too long. Using a keyer changes nothing.

This is a link to my review, that can probably answer a lot of what you seek.

My Alinco DX-10 worked fine with a keyer. The sidetone on the old 8900's and DX 10 had the delay. External keyer with sidetone was a workaround.

Installed my QT-60 today. Nice little radio. Chuckled at finding no CW jack. Guess I'll have to cob something at the mic jack, but doubt I'll mess with it. I like that the clarifier has TX/RX tracking. The display is very nice. So far, I really like it. I noticed it suffers from the same volume level issue many other radios have. Can't find a low sweet spot. Sure wish they'd fix that nonsense. I'm happy with it. Just might get one for a base unit.

I did the CW jack thing at the mic connector. It was a waste of time for me. Apart from that, it is a good radio. Works nicely with FT8 as well.
