WANTED: 1 KW ( or larger) OIL-FILLED DUMMY LOAD

I purchased a 1.5 KW Competition Amp several months back and am preparing it to go on the air. Built by the BEST amp builder out there. 8 - Toshiba 2879s. I am looking or a 1KW oil-filled dummy load like a Heath CANTENNA at a reasonable price. Anyone ???

In years past I read an article on how to build a dummy load using salt water as the coolant/load. Do a search it is out there.

I know it's been done by a lot of people, but this is the first i decided to make. Pint sized, it used only 1/8 teaspoon of salt to bring it down from freshwater 3+ SWR to <1.1:1
The needle barely moved on all frequencies. The photos show the dummy load, SWR meter, and the radio at the three frequencies of 25.605, 27.185, and 28.755.

Mineral oil is the standard. Unless you plan to push it beyond the specs, transformer oil will cost more without adding any benefit.

Just buy the Mineral Oil at the Feed Store & pay far less than if it's listed for Humans. It's the exact same oil but it's a SCAM because most people don't know there is no difference.
