Well dang. I’m not really that best with surface mount. I was looking for one where it went on the back side of the board. Kinda like the strykers and such

I know this is a older thread but just seen it and wondering what does this NPC Mod do or accomplish ?

Over 100% positive modulation peaks while keeping negative peaks below 100%
No idea how much in mckinley, but some other radios do over 200% nice and clean audio.

Well I guess I don't have to worry about that mod because I was talking to a buddy in Texas on my McKinley and he was so pleased with the sound of my McKinley he wanted to send me his mic to do that drill hole mod to his but I sent him all the pictures and instructions to do his own.
