Anytone at-5555 PLUS

No. I keep the power knob about 12 -2 ish on the dial.
Assuming the factory AM HP default value number on Menu #15 is 185, at the two o'clock position, the carrier would be approximately 10 watts. At twelve o'clock, the carrier would be approximately 6 watts.

The Quad5 Plus is my designated local radio matched-up with the Colossal 10K. I disconnected the amp and set the max RF power @ 6 watts with the RF Power at the full clockwise position.

I am liking my hs4 / 5555 plus. I have been testing it with and without the rnr as i have experienced some weirdness with the radios receive being clipped when the radio's volume is set low. Not seeing it as much or at all when not using the rnr option and just running the radio with an old school realistic dsp40 lol. More testing to come. 73

I use mine all the time. Yesterday I got Germany, France, Belgium, Venezuela, Reunion Island, Poland, Australia and Hawaii. It's a great radio.

I am having a time.trying to find the programming software for the hs4 on the retevis site. Any thoughts on just using the anytone 5555 software ? Tia Jeff

My neighbor has HS4 and we used the Service Menu for my AT-5555 Plus to set-up his radio. Have you accessed the Service Menu?

I would be careful. For one thing it's hard to tell whether the HS4 is a clone of the 5555Plus or the 5555PlusN which would likely have different firmwares. And even if you know that part, there is still the possibility that Retevis uses a different proprietary firmware that is different from Anytones.
Different firmwares = different programming software.

Have not connected a pc to it yet. Not interested in service menu. Just regular channel programming / options

Yep confirmed BC. Not looking to access service menu. I have a message to retevis asking as well but no reply so far.

OK, my apologies. The Service Menu has the options to adjust / set the low and high dead-key carrier and those are the only two settings I adjusted.
From what I have read, there are seven or eight clones of the 5555 and I can only assume that each clones has its own software program.
My friend has not located the Reset Function instructions on his HS4.

I believe Recon is correct and I'm pretty sure there is no programming software available like there is for some of the other models. At the beginning of this thread is the procedures for accessing the service menu and which areas to access. Good luck. 73
