i bough 1 waiting on it to arrive.
reason i got it,my eyes dont see like they used to do. my gt3 tp is still working great but after my trip to florida i had trouble viewing screen and programming it to local repeaters.
if eyes were better i eeded 1 id still look at a gt 3 tp. but i looked at most baofengs n screen on the uv 32 looked bigger and easier to view.
also antenna, whats best for it? biggest quirk i read in the reviews that baofeng prolly made said factory antenna wasnt great. also doi need to get extra battery for it?

I know Baofeng's are kinda the Rodney Dangerfield of radio's but that's a good looking radio. For the money it seems like a good buy. I really love my Yaesu FT-70DR but I do have two older Baofeng radio's I use as well.
The only two complaints I have heard is the UV32 has no belt clip and the receive can be weak.

i read where you but a long nogoya antenna on it cures lagging recieve, which i already have. i kinda like its looks too. maybe this be to holy grail o baofeng ?lol

As someone who owns over thirty Chinese HTs, I can confidently say that Baofeng would be my last choice. The Radtel RT-470 and RT-490 are vastly superior in every respect. Both offer exceptionally good RX performance and clear TX audio, and their airband reception is outstanding.

so far the baofengs i own have done what i expected. only reason for the uv 32 is screen .my eyes arent getting along as well with smaller screens. maybe the uv 32 will sufice for me

I get what you're saying, same here old eyes.
From what i can see in pictures the uv 32 has a big easy to view screen.

I read about the rf thing.but it will be out in wide open farm country n i got several antennas that might improve it some.
As we age our eyes want us not lookin

it arrived thursday. first day was love hate. then it started falling in place. so far its doing fine. but i ordered a better antenna.
bigger but fits in my hands real good/buttons gave a very positive feel to them. great screen easy to view. the green accents add to its looks. oh keys are lit and marked much better. i think its a keeper. but i need to buy an extra battery.
printed off a manual because the 1 came with it is way to small print

ordered a signal stick for it. as normal it was sent out on time but a ups rookie sent it on a wild goose chase. left utah to commerce colorado,to gardina california to cirres california, then to joplin mo. might get it tomorrow.
they need to get emselves a rand mcnally and do some schooling on charting a route. no wonder freight is so high priced and more trucking companys are going broke
