not near as noisy as a new president i got . its simular to the 980 but front firing speaker. screen is better but thats it

Yes its a mckinnly. Wish id never seen that turd. My washington last version was decent. Traded it for stryker 955 last version .
I notice my McKinley doesn't like the cold either just like the Galaxies. It has to warm up to get on Frequency.
modern technology n we get turds for radios. as far as actual radio the bearkitty beats the mckinnly but screen sucks on kitty. i have made decent skip contacs on the bearkitty
hope skip is running afternoon like 2 pm n after as i got visitor this mornin,my daughter is here and dont want to miss a minute without her
I laugh because I was thinking of you today when I went to Flying J's today to get a couple coax T connectors and found their stock of CB antennas and accessories was gone. So I talked to a lady manager and I guess that stuff doesn't move fast enough but she did show me she had some new CB radios on clearance sale and I spotted a Brand new 980 Bearkitty for $100 bucks. All of a sudden I found the sickness starting to overcome me and I began to tremble as I thought of ( It must be the newest version ) and almost ran to the check out counter with it. But then a little voice in my head said ( Hey Stupid how many radios do you really need ! ) LOL But sickness doesn't go away that easy because I set here thinking ( I want to try that radio ) LOL Help someone shoot me please and put me out of my misery ! LOL

The only reason to go to fleabay is if you like working on radios because it is a gamble. I don't work on them so I need something with a warranty.
lol, even that doesnt' help as the stack of radios to work on still grows faster than they get repaired.

Basically the same here. Go to the youngest daughters in the morning to be with her and the grandsons and oldest daughter and granddaughters in the late afternoon. Merry Xmas to all members and may your stockings be filled with joy !
