For years I have always wanted to donate some of my CB files to CBTricks but have yet to find a way of contacting the owner of the site. Does anyone know of a way to contact the owner???

There's a whole thread about the original CBT site that collapsed in 2016. The one today is a counterfeit cbt so there's no telling.

On another note, the info section of cbt was absorbed here at wwdx and there is a whole section here you could probably contribute to.

The original cbtricks has a mirror site at cbtricks.org which is still free. What is this section here that you are talking about?

The dot org site is not so much a mirror as a copy. Benny Bolin created the original site in the late 90s and it grew until about six years ago. He had always insisted on using a co-located server. A dedicated server in a rented rack space. The hosting provider he used discontinued that service and offered to move their customers to a cloud-model "virtual" server. He didn't care for that, and the site moved elsewhere for a while. Didn't have DNS, you had to access it from the IPV4 numerical address. That didn't last long. He gave up and it went dark. Sometime before this the forum he hosted had a bad crash and garbled the forum's index file. He described an attempt to reconstruct it, but it never really happened. My dot com was hosted on Benny's server for almost 15 years. I moved it to a local ISP at the end of 2019. Oddly enough, it's owned by the family that started Copper Electronics.

If the owner of the "dot org" version of the site accepts new material, that would be cool. But I've not heard of him/her doing that. Best I can tell, it's just an archive of the 2019 site before the hosting went dark. Best of luck tracking them down. The dot org is hosted at some discount hosting service with limited bandwidth and usage. When the site is busy you'll get "too many connections" instead of the page you request. Better than nothing.
