Anybody got the New President Washington NPC Mod?

if this is the washington with the MB8719 PLL chip in it then change R204 to a 1.2K ohm resistor, and add a 1uF non-polarized capacitor from pin 9 of the audio chip to the junction of R121, R204, and D62.

make sure to restore any modulation mods to stock before doing this mod.

you do need a scope to set it right.

Schematic? Do you want to take all the smoke out of doing this? LOL
I did not have a schematic of this radio at the time I started this thread, which is the new Washington 10-12M mobile, not the one you can actually work on from days of old. I now have a schematic, so that helped immensely. I am attaching where I believe it should go. It is not easy to latch on to the anode end of the diode resistor combination solder point. The cathode end is no problem. The radio was not designed to make this easy unless somebody knows of an easier way than what I did.

I would love to see the full schematic if you don't mind sharing it.
