It's not too hard to change the gaskets on the manifold. 12 bolts if I remember right. Then it's just two gaskets and two seals.

29 Chrome case.

Go to ebay and get a used 29 for 50$, then spend 15$ on chrome if you want it. Cheaper anywho.

A V8000? I don't think it will. You can hit the T Scan (tone scan) button, and it'll tell you the PL of a repeater while it's transmitting. It'll stop for a while on the PL in use.
