So I have a 2016 cobra 29 ltd classic and when I turn the radio on it shows 4 watts without keying the mic and the tx/rx light stays green. I key the mic and the tx/rx light turns red and I have good modulation. I release the mic, the light goes back green and I still have 4 watts on the meter...
Yeah 10-4, with d-11 snipped it does look like shit on a scope. Spreading coils isn't necessary on every radio. All I'm saying is every cobra radio I've gotten from a pro had the coil spread a certain way and it looked good on a scope. Maybe somebody knows something that you'll don't know.

I've had nothing but good reports and screwdriver tweaks every single cobra coil he sells. May but not be necessary everytime but it's obviously not hurting the performance of the radio. If it did hurt the radio, make it look bad on a scope and make it sound like hell.... why would screwdriver...
