Texas Star DX 500V
Need some more swing outa that 2950, i had that some thing with one that came from H@Y , they do nothing but put the chip in ..Sent it to Rolling Radios worked great .. Hope this helps ..- Big Dog 59

2995dx amp switch install w/pics/questions
All you had to do is turn the low power pot down .I, had these radio's for years .That having to disable the amp is not true .. My dead key is 1.5 watts works great , .. Run it into a TS -500 sounds awesome .. I know that doesn't help you now but when i hear of someone doing this try to get...- Big Dog 59

Texas Star 500V vs Davemade 4 Pill
They told me that same thing with my 2995dx that it would not sound right if i turned it down to 1.5 watts , well they are wrong ..I run a TS-500v Sounds great . Done it on a few of those radios .. I hit the TS with 1.5 or 2 watts dead let it...- Big Dog 59
