Just an update after a couple of months of use.
Had it in the mobile for the last month - been enjoying the DX and making lots of contacts and got lots of compliments.
Positives so far -
Output audio continues to impress
Frequency display is big enough (barely) to read while driving at a...
Interesting. Chinese using my old CB shop name and domain - it did have some good SEO back in the day. I wouldn't buy from a Chinese store that only lists an email and a What's app number. Maybe legit but rolling the dice a bit there.
I think the power level on this is perfect. I'd rather have it be CB power level or old export power level. I don't want a tiny 100W radio that turns itself into a mini frying pan. I'd rather have a 18-25 watt radio that I can run into an amplifier. The size is great, just needs some tweaks for...
I can confirm that I previously talked with Anytone after I posted about the Aquario RP70 and they said they were working on a small SSB radio.
I've been wanting something smaller than the McKinely for certain installs and this Anytone or the RP70 would definitely be fantastic - paired with a...
Gainmaster is an amazing antenna. Mine was only mounted about 15ft off the ground but with nothing blocking in any direction, worked fantastic. I think at 20-30 feet you'd do great. Make sure to get the full length one if you go for it.
My story I've posted on here many times - years ago I had an issue where I went from a low noise floor to 5s units all the time. Power company sent a specialist out with a sniffer. Turns out it was house on the next street about football field away and they had a paper shredder that was the...
Got 4 radios for sale and figured I'd offer them here before I post on ebay.
Shipping on any radio is $30.00 so I can put it in a big box and add lots of protection.
Uniden Grant LT - mint condition, looks almost new, was a refurb back in the day, Troys did DDS VFO and also added Receiver...
So I'm always cautious when I read the descriptions on these things but lots of features...CB band as well. EDIT: (I thought it said TX on SSB but either I read it wrong or they changed the description).
I'll wait for a some others to make videos and I don't buy stuff off Chinese marketplaces...
I'm selling a basic boom mike with a UR6QW digital edition. Had some pretty amazing audio with this little setup into a Anytone Ares II.
