How to bring down mobile voltage?

In the past I have seen alternators have an adjustment to control the max voltage that it would reach. 15 volts seems high to me and I have had a lot of mobile installations.

scrapped transmitter I need 2 40kv capacitors that would be in the hv transformer. They are 4uf and weigh about 80 lbs. I had one blow up just a couple day ago. Dan
