Solar is the way to go, but some caveats are in order. First, many cheaper charge controllers are cheap because they're basically Class D amplifier circuits, which are inherently noisy. You can reduce the RFI by shrouding the controller in grounded case (or, better, a makeshift Faraday cage)...
