A Baofeng field telephone for multiple users

As mentioned in the initial post: "perhaps simply running the coax, properly loaded," Perhaps I didn't specify it sufficiently, and at this point, I'm sold on the principle that it's not practical to, "field telephone" handhelds. But if I did try it, I would incorporate an Impedance network to...

A Baofeng field telephone for multiple users

A Baofeng field telephone for multiple users

Tech question: Have you ever heard of connecting say, four Baofeng radios, in different locations in the field; 100 meter coax runs each, to a central junction box, for the purpose of setting up an Old School secure field set. If nothing else, perhaps simply running the coax, properly loaded, to...

    Microwave Tube Modulation

What you're describing sounds like, Phase Array Radar. The pulse is steered, did I just describe cattle? The transmitted pulse is caused to leave the antenna at a varied angel by phase shifting the array. That is why modern nave ships no longer have the rotating antenna.

    Microwave Tube Modulation

I believe I've figured out how a magnetron is modulated in microwave transmissions. The output is pulse width modulated by turning the cavity voltage on and off. You should also be able to modulate the output power by dropping the high voltage. Is that right?

    Palomar 300a transformer

Hmmm. Since I'm not going to try to fix it- I don't believe it needs anything more than a recap to be sure. I did notice the PVC membrane on a capacitor between the antenna input and output seemed to be split, but no arcing observable; And I'm not about to repurpose the Peavey power transformer...

    Palomar 300a transformer

As I mentioned, I'm not going to plug it in. After all, regarding RF, I'm not more than a Canned Ham: What would your fair offer be, not to include shipping? So sell the tubes. BBI on youtube has the tubes if that's what it needs. He found a bunch while looking for the rest of a repair job shipment.

    Palomar 300a transformer

Hi, New member here. I ended up on this forum as a result of pulling a Palomar, seems to be a 300 series, off the shelf out back. I picked it up at an old tractor show, Pottsville Oregon. It did occur to me after the fact it was missing the power transformer. I've got a transformer out of a 150...
