Anyone here working on Galaxy Saturn-type radios?

I have a buddy who's been out of CB for quite some time and wants to get back in. He has a radio (Saturn Echo) that has been a bit molested and would like it back working. He said there is an extra knob on the radio that he's not sure of, and looks like someone removed the echo board. The radio...

    New Ad ( 2) NOS Turner + 3, also a Turner + 2

Excuse my ability to read your entire post. My sinuses are affecting my sight today. But, are you offering TWO plus threes AND a Plus 2 for $250? The mics total?

    Turner Plus Three initial spike

Those reeds are delicate and can crack. I used the shim between the cam on the push bar and the reed. Worked perfectly.

    Turner Plus Three initial spike

That was exactly my thought as well, since I just had that exact same issue. One of my +3s would give a crunch on key-up and it took me a while, but did find the issue. Instead of bending the reeds, I used a shim, very thin card stock to tighten the gap a bit. worked perfectly.

    Turner Super Sidekick issue

I always use an awl and just poke a hole, then put a screw in and tug it out.

    Turner Super Sidekick issue

I was chatting with CHATgpt today about it and was given some tests to make. I was told that the SSK dynamic element was supposed to be between 200 to 500 ohms. If I got an open reading, the element was either electret, ceramic or crystal. Well, it looks brand new and it's open. I'm guessing...

    Turner Super Sidekick issue

I turned it up to the point where my voice would be sufficient to transmit. Now, I've run Turner microphones since the 1970s and I've only ever had to turn them up to the 9:00 position to get absolutely perfect and strong modulation. To get proper modulation out of this sidekick I need to turn...
