Always wanted one of those. Ford stopped making them this year and have mostly laid off everyone to begin closing the plant.
Last Ford Crown Vic rolls off assembly line
I wonder if Ford will regret this... and here I thought GM was the only vehicle manufacturer that made stupid...
Apparently used by some mud duck in a mud puddle, but not sure since it may not even work. The only thing we know is that it has a 5 pin DIN connector on it so was probably used on a rat shack!

Hey! My first "real" CB was a Realistic TRC-52 as well. Sure cost a bundle to a teenager back in '77.
Man, what an old thread... first post 1969...
There's a commercial Icom forum that you may find helpful at
ICOM Forum - The RadioReference.com Forums
There's a ton of programming questions on that forum, seems the only people that really know about programming all the different Icoms are Icom dealers. You may be using the wrong...
I have "bricked" a Magellan GPS, did something wrong when trying to update it (selected the wrong menu).

Yeah I remember Davy Jones, glad to see he is still around and is well.
I've had my 200GTL-DX for a couple years, one of the last available (3rd revision), hasn't given me any trouble at all and sounds great in the mobile with a Wilson 1000, with a Cobra pre-amp mike.

FCC Universal Licensing System (ULS): ULS Online Systems
This is the page with their forms:
Federal Communications Commission Forms Available via Internet
Hope that helps?

The funny thing is, there's at least two services (run by hams) on the web, who will 'do all the work for you" in applying for a vanity call. But it's not that hard to do on the FCC website (of course you first have to FIND the correct webpage) if you already have a FCC Registration Number...
