I'm rigging a cb up in the dash of my car. Because of how it's going to fit I need an extension for the cord. I'm running a JCPenny 6221 with a plug in the side instead of the front for the mic. My dash has so much plastic and I hate cutting and drilling into the plastic because it does not look...

I'm finally getting around to doing this instal and realized I don't have a mount for the car. I know I can go outs and buy a mount but I have no clue what would work best. The radio is a mid 80s JCPenny that I am mounting where the tape deck used to be. I have not settled on an antenna yet...

Yeah. I'm not worried about the car on the outside it is totaled as far as insurance is concerned its got 10 or more dents in every section of the body because of a hail storm

The only car I know has problems in my family is a 98 Saturn. Very little mettal is on the body mostly Fiberglas and plastic. The only parts of my car that are anything but good conducting mettal are the bumpers and lights. The Saturn will get a good range of about 25 miles for about two months...

The speaker works but I try to mess with the volume and it only stays on the lowest setting that I can hear. So it's just very faint background static. I'm hoping the speaker is just bad. If I barely squeeze the mic I can actually hear it back feeding into the radio. The mic won't make a sound...

It's a Regency cr-230 cb radio with bunch of stock cobra mics from the early 80s. I have no idea which model because all they says is Cobra. And also one JCPenny. However won Ollie the mikes I have no idea which ones.

Your probably right and this would have been 20 years ago when it happened but I know it scarred him to where he would not do it anymore.

A friend of mine some years back had a similar issue. When he found the base station he took a chain and pulled the antenna cable with his truck. He took out the radio and I'm sure did some significant damage to the antenna. The I know the guy would sit around just keying the mic but nobody haas...
