    Hey office888. I just saw your YouTube antenna install video. I'm going to install my first antenna too hopefully this weekend. Looks like your antenna mask & tripod look the same as mine. I bet you also bought yours at menards.:D

    Yes, the audio chip fixed it!

    I'll warn you ahead of time, it's kinda a beast to get to.

    The transistor is on the side of the radio, with all the pins bent and fairly close together.

    I have a cobra 29 that is doing the same thing yours was . Did the audio chip fix it ? If not would you mind telling me what did ? Any help would be appreciated ,
