Thank you Moleculo. :thumbup1: I didn't want to start a new thread just to report, I had a 139 mile contact using the Gain Master the other night. 12:30am no noise the guy said he had been listening to us talk and asked for a break to find out where we were at. From Escondido to Ventura...

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

Well I've been running the Gain Master now for about a month and a half and though I haven't a thing to compare it to. I must say it has lived up to what Sirio has said it would do. It seems to smoke other antennas here in town and I have had great results talking long distance with it also...

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

I would rate it a 10 for what it does and with the reports that I get from stations I talk to. as far as power handling those that want to push a KW or more won't like it. But as far as I'm concerned 500 watts is enough. Great antenna, I would buy another with out a 2nd thought.

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

The mast is set at 25 ft tall and that puts the Gain Master 13 ft above the roof. I was transmitting on the a.m. side.

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

I made a 40 mile contact last night with the old Gain Master. Not bad for a barefoot base. I was hitting him with 3-4S.

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

Well I got the Gain Master up on the mast Yesterday between rain showers and this evening made contact with a couple of locals. I had a heck of a time convincing them that I wasn't running any power and the it was a bare foot base station. Both of the other station were running in the 500...

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

FedEx dropped off my new Gain Master antenna today. It was around 4 pm, I knew it would be to dark to get it up on the mast but I decided to go ahead and assemble the antenna for tomorrow. I open the box and the first thing I looked at was the top of the bottom section. I wanted to see how...

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

Well I bit the bullet and ordered a Gain Master. I wanted to give it a try. I like the idea of no radials, reason being the damned crows around here break radials down as fast as you can fix them.:headbang

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

Hey 007 Thanks for the tips , I'm just putting this Base Station together and since I haven't worked in over two years I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. I had moved away from the I-Max because I have heard they are noisy and I have High Power lines about 65 feet from where the mast...

Bad,fowl, vulgar Language on the CB

I guess I'm just getting old and square as we use to say when we were young. But I have been surprised since I've returned to CB at how bad the language has got on the old CB. Back when I was 21 years old and on the CB (1971) we never used a cuss word on the radio that was a big No No ( Uncle...
