An unusual problem, power supply related -
1)...I have a Texas Star DX500v, brand new from factory (purchased possibly 10 years ago with true Toshiba "reds" and converted to "high-drive" from same...I put on only 25 min total talk time and then, packed away...
2)...I have connected...
Thanks guys for the replies.....
I was hunting around for a sledge-hammer and, remembered that I do not own one!...grin...
Anyway, I have the transmit "dead on" and, had the receive the same until the temperature in the room or of the radio changed...
The RECEIVE clarifier is off at 3pm to...
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thanks again for reply....I opened the cover just a bit ago and centered both clarifiers to center and "tuned", and receive is well...Also, found that ONLY the larger knob/dial alters transmit and that the smaller knob only adjust the receive wit no effect on transmit...

Thanks for reply....Before a delve into reading the link, are the knobs SEPARATE in controlling the T+R?...This link seeming applies to a radio with significantly more bells and whistles than mine...I see no "menu" to speak of.
Greetings all!,
Getting back to this radio -
Question:....
1)... The large knob against the radio face plate, will that adjust BOTH the receive and transmit?....The smaller protruding knob, does that just do the RECEIVE?
2)... I broke out the radio a few days ago and find, that when the...
Just a quick note---
I will get back to this in hopefully about a week......The "monitor" radio I was using 4'' from transmitting rig (Yeasu 901-dm) to hear what was being outputed from my Icom 730 had to issues that occurred......One was a continuous audio tone (not hum or anything like that)...

Have downloaded and installed...Man, this is an "involved" program....Started setting it up a bit and HAD TO TAKE A BREAK....This is the free fully functional version?
Ok, so wrong of me to assume and digital signal you put to USB... Yea, some goofy rule to put it to USB... Even if you are on 40m? Put it to USB...
Glad you got it figured out. Computer side of stuff..
Also, do you still have that Commodore 64?? If you do.. I want to repair it if it no longer...
Here is part of the dialog that was exchanged with the manufacturer and myself:
MANUFACTURER:
One last wrinkle, because FLdigi is SSB/USB specific you actually use USB on your radio for transmitting RTTY.
MY RESPONSE:
*WHAT!?....SET RADIO TO USB?....THIS I GOTTA SEE! *
MANUFACTURER:
It sounds...
Tomorrow, I will write my findings in better detail...I remember e-mail talking with the manufacturer and I believe that they said I had to send cw in one of the side band modes but, will re-look at my e-mail......The freqs on the Icom 730 display and Yaesu 901 "don't match up" most likely...
Before I read the above.....I HAVE SOUND AND TRANSMIT!!!!
Where the window(s) I had posted says "sound max digital audio", I neglected to make any selections from the drop down arrows but, randomly made selections in both....AND IT WORKS!
I am using FLDIGI...(forget about DIGIPAN for time being)......I am almost positive that I have it checked...Will look at it now............THANKS FOR THE REPLY(IES).
Both the capture and playback are set to the same thing....I wonder....Will tinker with this tomorrow morning...
Ok... So the audio is not making it out of the computer.
CORRECT...
When you hooked up some speakers to it and you hit transmit on the program, it was not making any sound and just muted.
AS I STATED.....
Double check your sound settings in the program.
FLDIGI?.....JUST TO BE SURE...
