No, there is no heat buildup on the transformer.

I've got a 25 that I changed the meter light on, that's all. The driver takes to truck and comes back saying the meter is swinging backward when keyed. I checked and it is. No movement at all on my power meter. I changed the final, no luck. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

TR32 missing I replaced TR32 and that fixed the squealing problem. We put it back in the truck this morning and it sounds great! Thanks for your help.

I have a Mirage 88 which works fine on the bench, no squealing at all. As soon as I put it in a truck and key the mike I get a terrible squealing. It's been in two trucks with the same problems. Has anyone seen this problem before?

I get a pop then nothing when I try the PA. I'm measuring the voltage inside the case coming from the power plug. Thanks!

It's a mobile unit. I found the model# 77-151 on a steel plate on the back. It says 151M on the front of the unit. Made in October '83. Made in Korea. Thanks.

This radio receives fine but when keyed the power drops to 8 volts and I cannot get any modulation. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? I'm a newbie and using this unit top play with.
