    Z-180, anyone else have one?

Yes, H&Y. They sometimes have a special on them, so... Also, yes, static levels are alot lower with no compromise in overall recieve performance. Try it, you'll like it!

    Z-180, anyone else have one?

Ah, OK then. Anyway, it would be interesting to see if a thicker/taller stinger on a 5K would give it more bandwidth as some have hinted in here. I do like the Z-180 looks & performance alot better, but the Wilson 5K has them beat in the RMS power handling dept. The Z-180 is "only" rated...

    Bob's CB Radio Shop

I agree 100%! He is one of the best out there these days, as far as I'm concerned. He is also the Magnum rep for the northeast region as well, & developed the Top Gun modulator, & too many other things to mention here, just to give you an idea. Quite a few of the good older (& newer) radios...

Where's the wackiest place *indoors you've put an antenna?

Re: Where's the wackiest place *indoors you've put an antenn :D    8) That's great. It's funny how stuff like this actually works. a friend of mine is in the same situation(antenna restricted neighborhood), except he uses a moble mag mounted antenna on the roof of his...

    Z-180, anyone else have one?

So..... What's the verdict? :?: Anyone able to take a Z 180 apart yet? Switch, as for the little hole in the bottom of the Wilson coil cover: It's a weep/vent hole that allows condensation to drain out during seasonal temp changes. If it was completely sealed, it would build up...

Black Al Capone or 55 Antenna????

Hey Yota, Whazup man? :) The 55 is THE antenna of all mobile antennas. A.K.A. "Big John". Jake has one on the roof of his truck, & he's only running a "Bobtized" Magnum S-45 in his truck, with nothing else inline. I can usually pick him up all the way down to his work 20 (down past...

Sideband mobile CB with best/most audio

Like others have said in here, Uniden Grant is one of the best mobile SSB radios out there. An older (Phillipines made) Cobra 148GTL is another good one(same as Grant really). Those 2 are the best CB SSB mobile radios out there, these days.

Any further news on the IC-7200, & 7700 yet?

Yes, I saw that info when I first heard about them, but it does'nt say squat about when they'll be on the shelves, etc... Looking for any reviews, etc also, but it's too early I suppose for any info like that to show up. :( Thanks for the reply though!

    Z-180, anyone else have one?

Nice! 8) Sounds like it's working like it should from what you posted. They might not handle as much as a Wilson can, but 2 Kw is alot of power! I really don't know why anyone would need/want to be exposed to that much RF anyway. :? Just let the antenna do most of the :walkin & talkin'...

    Highpowered Diesel Truck

I think the problem would be better solved with a Cummins/Onan 5Kw generator set under the hood. Just kiddin', or am I ??? LOL. 8) Seroiusly, a set of under/overdrive pulleys might help get the alternator to spin faster. Otherwise, you'll need a few more batteries in the back.
