    The trick is to have the radio up front spew out the garbage. Bird meters are only accurate reading a steady signal such as CW. Modulated signals with these radios and reading with a Bird peak kit can make these snake oil salesmen appear to be gods.

    went to my last hamfest yesterday

    I live close to Dayton and went this Spring to the Greene County Fairgrounds for the Hamvention after its two year absence. Not going again anytime soon unless there is a group of us who would like to party.
