So i installed the supply tonight about 30 minutes and all is good. At peak power it drops about 1/10 of a volt pretty steady. This supply is a 5 amp 12v which adjusted to 13.11 volts Supply is a 12v @5amps and cost $7.00 shipped from amazon

I replaced the regulator 2sD525 Q3 and still same results On to ordering the 2 zener ZD1 and Zd2 And Q1 and Q2 I checked the resistors and all seem within specs. Something is draining about 2 volts and as I mentioned the transformer is also dropping about 2 volts AC when keying mic on AM and SSB

Nomad you mentioned the chinese PS I was thinking of getting one to install plenty of room in the radio if i remove the transformer

I replaced the 2 caps and still the same results. I will check the regulator again or replace and also the zener diode. Will also replace the D525 regulator

Well i received brand new finals HG 1969 and 2sc2166. I installed in radio and same low SSB power and little swing on AM. Actually about 2 watts less on sideband 6 watts. Am about 5 watts and peak to 6 watts. Saying Ah on ssb i get about 3 watts and if i whistle i get about 8 watts max. I...

Nomadradio Any suggestions what might be the problem with low power ssb on the telsat 140 radio. Was doing about 14 watts then stopped all of a sudden. I have new finals on the way gonna change and see what happens a 2sc 2166 and a 2sc 1968 gonna replace with HG finals. thanks

I tried and still low power Radio is all set adjusted to factory spec Im waiting for some HG final replacements to see if its a final even though they check fine. Seems like I stated low audio into the ssb carrier or maybe be a electro cap shorted to ground. that will be my next step checking...

Well on RV2 I can adjust the ssb from 1 watt to about the 5 watts its putting out low saying ah into mic if i whistle i can get about 8 watts and radio is all tuned for peak power. Am power is about 5 watts with very little forward swing

Yes you can add a channel kit to this Road King model. Not the FM just Am model. This radio is all surface mount but the A kits high/low kit will work or just a single band board will work most go 40 below. Kits are 3 wire install and my kits have a 3 position rotary switch where on this radio...
