I agree on the poor assembly work the thing is I bought three Texas Star 1600s and the Biasing was off on two of them and the third one seems to work just fine so I'm going to get with Mike about sending the two 1600s back to him unless I can find another shop that can do it with a quicker...
Yeah I hope so too he offered to sell me one to check it out and I think I might do that Although I really do like having the meter in it kind of gives Drive reference and something you can peek at just to make sure everything's doing what it's supposed to I know why they use the Dei transistors...
Hi....I designed the 350 mini as a sleeker design but part for part it is the exact duplicate as the 350 and using the hg transistors, however a smaller cost for the value without meter. this is straight from mike

right yeah i hate when people do that to radios meters just show voltage it don't know the frequency of the voltage im fine with it showing what its really doing on the frequency im talking on not up in the ham bands splattering away it also has low receive the needle barely moves unless someone...
okay thats what i thought too if i push the coils back together i don't have a spectrum analyzer to really see the improvement on that band but that wouldn't hurt better than leaving it like that i would say
