    Yeah I had a chinese cobra 148.. It died not long after I got it, and it had a nasty warble on sideband. Most new radios are junk.

    Very good conditions yesterday and earlier today.. Should've kept a logbook! I remember I talked to Chicago, Tennessee, Alabama, and North Carolina from my base station in Southeast Pennsylvania near the city of Bethlehem. Just my antron 99, 100 watt linear and my Uniden Grant.

    15 and 31 are big local channels for AM where I am in Pennsylvania, and 39 USB is popular for upper sidebanders

    Why not worry about all the technical crap? It's 100% Better for the radio! And it's great to have a good sounding, well preforming radio, that doesn't splatter, I can't believe that guy's a ham.. Unbelievable.
