I have a galaxy DX94 that I'm having issues with. I have it installed in KW semi, Power is hooked to battery with good grounds. When I key up and talk it transmits fine. Once I release the PTT the meter jumps to a S7 and has all sorts of recieve noise. I can key up again and still transmit fine...

The fans are working. It seems like once I key up something shorts and keeps the amp section "firing" untill I disconnect the power source. I believe the static noise is from something maybe grounding out and creating RF? I don't know? The thing is sometimes and can talk with no problems at...

Here are some pictures of the inside. I need to know how to hook the power up since I don't have a wiring harness. And any info on how to operate the unit correctly would help also. Thanks again for any input.

Does anybody have any info on this amp. I dont have a wire harness for it and I need to find out what powers what. I will post a pic. A friend give this to me to tinker with. Any help would be great. Thank you for your time.

I changed out my alternator on the truck and it cleared everything up. Now my S Meter rides on ZERO. (most of the time)

I have alot of RF noise coming though the antenna of my semi. Here is my set up. I have a 99 KW W900L, 3406E Cat engine, Dx99V radio, Wilson 2000 antenna (SWR 1.3 on 1 & 40). Things I have gounded... Engine to frame.. both sides with 2ga. braided strap... 0.3 ohms Antenna to cab...

Okay. I went through and tested them again. Here's what I got. TR38 Base RX 8.0 TX 7.8 Coll. RX 0 TX 0 Emitt 8.5 TR36 Base 7.8 Coll. RX 8.5 TX 8.5 Emitt 8.5 Hope this helps a little more. Thank you for all the help by the way.

Those values are all on TX. I dont have any way to inject a signal for receive.

I just checked them. TR38 Base- 7.75 Collctr-0 Emittr-8.5 TR36 Base-7.75 Collctr-8.25 Emittr-8.5 I double checked the values of the transisters on the board. It seems my values are opposite of what you stated. Tr38 has Tr36 values & TR36 has TR38 values??????

Opps. TR36 8V on all 3 legs
