John Denver actually had a short cordial conversation with a couple of local base station operators near where I live before everybody else heard him and dog piled on him. That was around 9:30am est/6:30pst. The past couple of days on 28 am has been the usual DX. California,Arizona.

Got David/91DD018 of Yeticom in Jakarta, Indonesia less than an hour ago with a 5/4 signal.
Of all places, it was on 27.385LSB!

Did a lot of just swl this weekend.
Heard 91DD18 on Sat on .555 but was too low sig 3/2.
Also heard 100AT101 on Sun night on .555, heard his call and qsy but that was it!
sig was good just went away 4/4 @7pm.
Also all weekend heard 25 div, but so weak of signals in to Ohio.
Seemed like a lot of whistling and dead keying from south of the border this weekend!

I also herd the 100 div calling.....Saudi was on this weekend after his cq....the return calls lasted 20 seconds. Turkey also calling....all were solid 5/5-7 signals

Did get out to 201 div a 5/6 sig and to 224 div 4/5 sig, great to hear them, it was this time last year talked to them last.
Heard few West coasters calling for 100div last night also.

Solar Cycle 24 may be on its way out but this morning on the western side of Canada has been nothing less than spectacular. Filled up a couple sheets of paper with contacts into Europe on 11m. Its pretty well done for today but these kind of days are numbered. Get'm while they are hot!
Yes, that was one of many to finish the day. Japan, Korea and Australia followed. A special day indeed.
