With a Uniden Madison, Silver Eagle, IMAX 2000 (8ft off the ground,) and 500 (pep) watts i made SSB contact on several occasions with a mobile (Gary) in Staten Island New York. That's approximately 70 miles from my QTH In Southern New Jerseys Pine Barrens.

With a Sonar 2340, non amplified high Z d104, Demco modulator and and 500 (pep) watts (iMAX 2000 8' off the ground) on AM i made contact with Oley Pennsylvania. Approximately 80 miles from my QTH.

What does your station consist of, and what's your furthest point to point
SSB/AM contact?
No cheating! LOL 73's
PS. If possible please add a picture of your setup.

From my location S. Cook Is. 16547 km (10281mi) short path. SSB. Multiple times, multiple stations, different radios and antennas over the years.
Mike

Edit:
Just noticed, it is CB section.
That would be station Bulldog unit777 from Maine. 6300 km (3915mi), ch29 AM from vertical antenna and regular CB radio.

Mobile, Uniden Grant XL with stock mic, Texas Star bilateral dx350.

Heading home from Vegas last November, I made quite a few SSB contacts. I made a contact with a station in Virginia. As near as I can figure that is about 2,100 miles away.

I think you mean 70 / 80 miles point to point no skiping off the ionosphere,

What some of my locals mistakenly call ground wave, i used to call it direct wave but i changed my mind,

even just 70 miles which is doable every day on CB there will likely to be reflections & bending at play unless you live up towers in a desert with line of sight view,

even then you can't be sure theres no reflections.

I did mean without any Sunspot ionosphere help. I thought that was referred to as point-to-point. It seems like I was wrong. Boy I wish I could change the heading of the post. What should I tell the the members that are already replied? I don't think anybody can you make a 1000 mile + point-to-point contact. If they're referring to dxing miles I have had qso with Guam, and turkey. What should I change the posting heading to? As opposed to point-to-point?

Granted this was 0n 20m but with 100 watts and a 20m Hamstick antenna on the mobile I worked 3B9C on Rodriques Island off East Africa in the Indian Ocean one morning via longpath. 15,000 miles.
Captain. I thought point-to-point meant without help from the ionosphere. A non DX contact. I'd like to change the heading of my post. I'm assuming since everyone is throwing out these tremendous amount of miles they're talkin skip. I thought point-to-point meant without the help of sunspots\ionosphere. What should I change the heading to? Is it ground-wave? What's the proper terminology for a contact without any help from the ionosphere? A non DX contact?

Local or simply non-DX contact. I edited it for you. I posted that after a couple more posted DX contacts.

OK, with that in mind then 200-400 miles done daily on 6 meters with 6 elements@40ft and 400 watts.
Have worked over 200 miles from Mobile direct.
10 meter mobile I think best was around 160 miles with 100 watts
