Is there anyone in the Hot Springs Arkansa area that works on cb radios?

I think you will need more then a cb tech for that radio. This is a very old model, even if you find a Yaesu repair person parts will be the next issue. Nice old school rig, looks like 1976-1979 production years. This Al guy can still work on them. Good luck.
The only GOOD tech I'm familiar with in ARK lives in Heber Springs, which is a ways north of Hot Springs. I haven't been in touch with him for quite a while and have no idea if he is still repairing radios. His name is Jimmy Crider. I don't have his number handy, but I think you can find it in a on-line search. If you can't, I'll dig it out. Best I can do right now. Good luck.

I have worked on hundreds of these over the last 50 years but when you say shipping damage what are the problems physical/electrical or both? I'm in Iowa just for the record.

When shipped it was working fine. But when I got it the panel lights were bad and the 3 tubes won't light up. Thats as far as I got. Did replace 12BY7A tube hoping that would make the tubes light up, but its a no go on that...I check for loose circuit board and such still the tubes won't light...

The reason I ask this is because there should be an accessory plug in the back next to the SO239 antenna plug if it's missing it will not allow the tubes to get filament voltage if the seller is a tech he may have done a cold neutralization adjustment and forgot to put the plug back.
Ok, best I can remember the filament voltage is mostly isolated from the rest of the radio simply meaning there is either a break in the voltage supply or the heater switch is faulty or there is an issue in the AC line plug that connects pin 9 to pin 11 which in turn delivers the 12.6 vac to the heaters.
1) AC SOCKET ON THE POWER CORD MAY BE AN ISSUE
2) THE HEATER SWITCH POSSIBLE FAILURE
3) Or an open circuit between the accessory socket and the heater switch.
I could most likely find this issue in about 15 minutes that really is how simple this issue has to be.

Update: All 3 tubes now light up... Stupid me forgot to turn "Heater" switch on....lol
Dan the fox tango group has all the info you could ever need about these radios.
I encourage you to go download the manuals and read them.
The service manuals are there as well.
They are a good radio that work well on AM if tuned up correctly as well as a good performer on SSB.
If you run AM get the filter and do the mods on the AMfone net site if you have the ability.
I hope you get it going, I had lots of fun with my old 101's back in the day
