I have an older truck that has a small seepage of anti-freeze
at the front of the intake manifold.

Will StopLeak ruin my engine or any thing else if I use it?
Some one told me it clogs every thing up.

well the only thing that it clogs up after is the heater core...and as for that leak it wont fix it!

and you said front of the intake manifold??
is that were the hose or housing is for the rad hose?
otherwise if that is leaking then it will start getting sucked up into
the intake for the carb or throttle body and causing all kinds of problems...fouled plugs, cold start mixing wrong, starting to run rougher and many more within time..might even loose a oil ring after a bit....

if you are going to put stop leak into it pull the heater core hoses and connect them together...
also what kind of truck and what year??

It is an 88 Chevy 350. The leak is right in the front under the
thermostat housing. Right where the manifold meets in the corner.

It's not too hard to change the gaskets on the manifold. 12 bolts if I remember right. Then it's just two gaskets and two seals.

I agree, on that motor the intake gasket is very easy to change. Make sure you have a torque wrench and metric tools and you should be fine.

Being familiar with that motor like I am I would say to get a new t-stat and gasket and a new gasket for the throttle body. The throttle body gaskets are notorious for leaks causing a rough idle.

If you get a cheap chiltons type manual for that truck from auto zone or a similar parts store life will be easier.

Let us know how things turn out.
